Castle Farm in Fotheringhay is as breathtaking as it is historically significant. As well as being a stunning farm house, set in expansive gardens by the River Nene, it was also the scene of a very important event in English and Scottish history.

Built on the site of Fotheringhay Castle - established in the early 12th Century and birthplace of King Richard III - Mary Stuart (better known as Mary Queen of Scots) was held here by Queen Elizabeth, and eventually executed in the old castle grounds.
